Decorate a hairband with these roses made from recycled egg cartons

These roses made from recycled egg cartons can be used to decorate any kind of accessory or other object. I will explain below the simple steps needed to make this beautiful floral hairband.

Step 1: Cut up the egg carton

Cut out four sections of your egg box. Seperate them completely and cut off any excess cardboard.

Step 2 : Cut out the petals

Cut out the petals. On one module cut 6 petals. On a second, cut 5 petals, and on the remaining two, cut 4 petals.

Step 3: Glue together the first piece with 6 petals

Take the piece with 6 petals. Glue the petals together with a glue gun. Glue every other petal to begin with, then glue the three remaining petals.

Step 4: Glue on the second piece with 5 petals

Glue the piece with 5 petals around the first piece with 6.

Step 5: Glue on the two other pieces with 4 petals

Glue on the last two pieces with 4 petals to finish off your rose.

Step 6: Cut out some leaf shapes

Cut some leaf shapes from the rest of the egg carton.

Step 7: Paint the flowers with spray paint

Paint the roses and the leaf shapes with spray paint. Before painting, find a well ventiladed and protected spot – I sprayed inside a cardboard box.

Step 8: Glue the flowers to the hairband

Glue the leaves and the flowers to your hairband. Arrange the leaves around the flowers to show off the flowers at their best.
