Make this lace earring holder out of a frame, some POSCA markers and some lace
This lace earring holder is extremely easy to make, and so practical. Use an old frame and a piece of lace to make a beautiful place to hang your earrings. I even decorated the frame using these amazing POSCA markers. I won them in a competition thanks to my tutorial on how to make plantable paper. Yay!
What you need:
- frame
- lace
- glue gun
- Optional: Paint, markers or spray paint to decorate frame
Step 1: Find a frame
Find a nice frame to use as for your earring holder. You only need the frame itself, not the glass or the backing board, so you could use an old, incomplete frame. I found this one on the street.
Step 2: Decorate the frame
If you like you can decorate the frame. I used these POSCA paint markers to make this leaf pattern on my frame. The POSCA markers are great, as they are really easy and quick to use. But you could also try using spray paint, or some other kind of paint.
Step 3: Glue the lace to the frame
I used an old piece of lace curtain, cut to the size of the frame. But if this is difficult to get hold of, you could also use strips of lace, glued alongside one another. Use a glue gun to glue the lace to the back of the frame. Make sure to put the lace as tight as possible as you glue it. Cut off any excess.
And that’s it. The earring holder is complete! You can either hang it on the wall , or prop it up top of a chest of drawers or dressing table. Just hang earrings through the small holes in the lace to display and organise them.
